Gather
and Grow is a special campaign that has as its aim, raising
the funds required to build an addition onto our church
facilities, a Family Life Center which will include a new
gathering space and fellowship hall as well as new Sunday
School classrooms. Also, there will be improvements
made to help make our facilities more accessible to everyone
by creating more accessible entrances and exits and
installing a new elevator. For additional details

Building Campaign

Aug 18, 2008:
The building addition is nearing completion. Final inspection
is scheduled for Thursday, August 21st at 9:00am. Please see

Nov 11, 2007:
At 10:00am on November 11, 2007 a special ground-breaking ceremony
was held on the South side of the church in the area the addition
will be built. Building committee members were present along
with many members of the congregation to officially kick-off the
building project. The project has an estimated completion date
of October 2008.

Nov 4, 2007:
At 11:45am on November 4, 2007 a special meeting of the congregation
was called to order. Purpose of the meeting was to vote on the
proposed building addition. After a brief presentation of the
building plans, a review of the bids, selected bidder, and bid costs
a motion was made to vote whether to proceed with the construction
project. This motion passed by a vote of 127 Yes and 4 No.

July 8, 2007:
At 10:00am on July 8, 2007 a special meeting of the congregation was
called to order. Purpose of the meeting was to consider the
building plans, review interim financing, and vote whether to
proceed with the building project. A rough schedule was
discussed pending approval by the congregation to proceed.
Architectural plans would take from 2 to 2 1/2 months to finalize.
Tentatively, bidding would take place by October with ground
breaking as early as November 2007.
After information
was presented and an open discussion a motion was made to vote
whether to proceed with the building project. This motion
passed by a vote of 141 Yes and 6 No. A second motion was then
made to vote whether the glass lobby floor would be raised 21" or
42". This motion would provide a clear direction for the
building committee and architect to prepare final architectural
prints. The second motion resulted in 139 votes for a 21"
raise and 5 votes for a 42" raise.
